- A synopsis of the film to be shot in Rwanda.
- Passport scans for all crew members.
- Photos of each crew member.
- Visa scans for all crew members.
- A detailed equipment list, including serial numbers, for items entering Rwanda.

The accreditation process takes 7 working days.

General Film Permit
Issuing Authority
The Rwanda Media Commission issues film permits.
Processing Time
The permit process typically takes approximately 1 week to receive approval.
Required Information and Documentation for Application
- To apply for a general film permit, the following are required:
- A letter of application from the media house or production company.
- A media or service card.
- A passport scan for each crew member.
- Passport photos of each crew member.
- A data/information sheet (attached to the application form) to be completed individually by each crew member.
Cost
The cost for the film permit is $500 for the crew.
Private Locations

Drone Permit
Drone Regulations
Drone operations must comply with the guidelines set by the Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority (RCCA).
Drone Importation Regulations
Rwanda has a ban on the importation of UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles).
Local drone operators are required, and they must be registered with the RCCA.
Issuing Authority
The RCCA must be notified in writing before any drone operation takes place.
Required Information for Local Drone Applications
A company letterhead must be submitted, detailing the areas where the drone will be operated. This needs to be sent to the RCCA by the registered local drone operator.

Approval for drone operations takes 7 working days.

Each location where the drone will be operated incurs a fee of $200.
