Obtaining a General Film Permit in Ghana

When planning to film in Ghana, it’s essential to secure a General Film Permit from the Ministry of Information.

  • A document to the National Security Department, outlining the general locations required to shoot
  • A document to the Department of Immigration, providing details of your crew and equipment
  • A brief summary of your project, including location requirements

The total cost for a full General Film Permit is $700. Once approved, the permit will be issued by the National Security Department, granting you the necessary authorization to commence filming in Ghana.
